2012-12-13_David_FM_ 6260_TTom Fazio is the resident fitness expert and martial arts instructor at Enso Temple – Fashion and Fitness Studio. He has been personal training clients for over a decade in China and the United States, and combines over two decades of martial arts study in a variety of Asian disciplines with contemporary exercise science and nutrition to sculpt bodies, strengthen minds, and help clients realize their fitness and martial arts goals.

Tom is a certified personal trainer who for several years has successfully operated his own freelance personal training businesses in Shanghai and Hong Kong. His clientele include CEO’s and executives of fortune 500 companies, aspiring martial artists and those looking for mind-body training, stay-at-home mom’s and dad’s, and fitness enthusiasts looking to build muscle, lose weight, improve tone, and find motivation and a greater variety in training.

Tom has over 20 years of martial arts experience, holds black belts in Sin Moo Hapkido, Moo Sul Kwan Martial Arts, and ITF Taekwondo, and has over 10 years of extensive supplementary training in the techniques and principles of Shaolin Kung Fu and Thai Boxing. After years of competing in and teaching martial arts, Tom left the United States in 2003 and traveled throughout Asia, studying special skills privately with masters of various systems, ranging from qigong meditation and soft weaponry with Shaolin monks throughout China, including a stint at the Shaolin Temple, to the practical and power based system of Muay Thai Kickboxing in Chiang Mai Thailand.

Tom has also studied privately with experts in Brazilian Jiu Jutsu, Baji, Taiji, and Jeet Kun Do. After a decade of personal training experience, both as a student under master instructors and as a teacher, working with clients in Shanghai and Hong Kong, Tom has developed an unorthodox, eclectic and technically comprehensive system of private martial arts training which allows one to acquire a working knowledge of practical self defense techniques and principles very quickly, and in harmony with one’s natural strengths and abilities. Tom is also a recognized self defense specialist who has taught women’s self defense seminars in Shanghai, Hong Kong, and the USA.
